MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- Medical device maker Reliant Technologies, Inc. announced that it has closed a fifth round of venture capital financing, securing $15 million in new investment.

Reliant has developed a new laser skin treatment device that it calls the Fraxel Laser Treatment.  The company claims that it leaves healthy portions of the skin structure untouched as it removes old epidermal pigmented cells.

Investors in the round were led by Delphi Ventures, and included previous investors Three Arch Partners and Meritech Capital Partners.  The company intends to use the proceeds to expand its sales and distribution efforts.
